Update Floriday Client API: where do we stand?

Home Developments Update Floriday Client API: where do we stand?

The introduction of Floriday has had a major impact on the horticulture sector in recent years. The integration is continuously evolving, both from Floriday and within our software. For Florisoft and our users, this has meant a significant change. We notice there is a need for more clarity about where we currently stand and what this concretely means for you.

In this message, we provide an overview of the current situation:

  • What exactly does the integration with Floriday entail
  • Floriday Client and additional functionalities
  • Updates and developments
  • What should you take into account
  • Documentation Floriday Client API

What exactly does the integration with Floriday entail?

Floriday is an overarching platform, a marketplace, consisting of various components with multiple APIs. In addition, Floriday offers extra functionalities that growers and buyers can use to extend the API. As a result, the Floriday Client API only includes the functionalities that fall under this specific API and not all functionalities the platform has to offer.

Floriday Client API

With the Floriday Client API from Florisoft, you have real-time access to the full range of growers, integrated into your Florisoft system. This also includes special offers. You can extend this API with additional functions, such as transaction flows or order processing, via separate modules and add-ons.

Via this link, you will find an overview of the (additional) functionalities currently supported by Florisoft.

Additional functionalities

To extend the API, Floriday has developed several additional features that further support trading between growers and buyers. If you want to use these functions from within Florisoft, we offer the following modules and add-ons to extend the Floriday Client API:

Floriday Client Sales Orders add-on

With this add-on, you can receive batch information of products that you have purchased directly on the Floriday website. The purchase is created as a stock batch and can be received and allocated internally.

Floriday Direct Transactions

With this add-on, you can receive the entire delivery note in one go. Receiving each individual batch separately becomes a thing of the past with Floriday Direct Transactions.

Floriday Stock Control

With this add-on, you can process the stock of an external grower logistically, without having carried out the sales of those stock batches yourself.

Floriday Orderlist

With this add-on, selected trade items on Floriday are automatically imported as order batches into your Florisoft order list. A useful tool when you want to manage a wide assortment easily according to your preferences.

Floriday Tradeitemgroupselection

With this add-on, batches are automatically imported into different selected inventories via Floriday assortment selections.

Floriday Sticker

With this add-on, you send labels to the grower so they can be provided with a barcode that can be used within their own production process.

Updates and developments

  • Where data previously had to be fully retrieved each time, the integration now uses a smarter synchronization method. This means:

    • A smart local copy of Floriday data is created
    • After that, only changes are retrieved
    • Synchronization can be interrupted and resumed later
    • After the first synchronization, the process is generally much faster

The first synchronization may take longer depending on the amount of data. This is normal. After that, only changes are updated.

  • The supply is automatically imported by a timer process in Florisoft, and the following conditions apply:

    • Supply is processed per grower
    • Batches are only created when a grower actually delivers to the configured regions
    • In Floriday, the assortment must be marked as ‘favorite’ at line level to be included in the supply

Do you see less supply than expected? Then check whether the assortment in Floriday is correctly marked as favorite.

  • Floriday works with API versions. Older versions are periodically phased out. For example, in April 2025 it was communicated that API version 2024v1 would no longer be supported. After updating Florisoft, the system automatically switches to version 2024v2 to prevent interruptions. It is therefore important to keep your Florisoft environment up to date to maintain an active integration.

What should you take into account?

Because Floriday is still under active development, the APIs are regularly adjusted or expanded. Every six months, Floriday releases a new version. We do our best to align our integrations and functionalities with these updates in time, but we depend on Floriday’s developments and how they fit within our own software. As a result, certain features may not be immediately available via the API, or additional configuration or modules may be required to use specific functionalities.

Communication

We understand that changes, such as modified functionalities, can impact your daily operations, and that you want to be informed about them. It is a major challenge for us to communicate all developments effectively, but our goal is to improve this in the near future.
