More control with the new update and rollout mechanism
Florisoft continuously works on improving its software. Therefore, from September 8, 2026, we are introducing a new update and rollout mechanism that enables you to deploy new software versions across your organization in a controlled, structured, and user-friendly way. By making updates available to different user groups in stages, you gain greater control over the update process, reduce risks, and can respond more quickly to any potential issues.
Why is this change important?
Previously, new Florisoft versions were made available to all users at once. This made it more difficult to test a new version on a limited scale before rolling it out across the entire organisation. If an unexpected issue occurred, it could immediately affect a large group of users.
In addition, the previous approach offered limited flexibility when reverting to an earlier version for a specific group of users. As part of our ongoing efforts to make the update system more user-friendly and future-proof, we have introduced a new approach.
More visibility, less risk
The new approach offers several key benefits:
- Greater control over the rollout of new software versions
- Safely test updates with a limited group of users before a wider rollout
- Respond more quickly to potential issues
- Easily revert to an earlier version for a specific user group
- Instant insight into version usage through the Active Users screen
- Reduced risk of disruptions across your organisation
In addition, this development lays the foundation for further enhancements to the Florisoft update system.
What does this mean for your organisation?
When transitioning to the new update and rollout mechanism for the first time, the user performing the update will automatically be assigned the administrator role. All other users will automatically be assigned to the standard users group.
You can then decide which employees should be included in the pilot users group and specify which software version each user group should use.
If you attempt to use the previous rollout method, you will automatically receive a notification informing you that this approach is no longer supported. The notification will also direct you to the user guide for further instructions.
The selected software version will become active after Florisoft has been restarted.
