With a warm standby server you are always assured of a copy of the production data in a separate database on another machine. The production server can also be relieved of heavy read queries that are required for BI tools, for example. With this module you can therefore secure your data within the Postgres database on a second server, and also relieve the production server because all read queries are handled by the warm standby server.
After a year of absence due to covid-19, it's almost time again: from 3 to 5 November the IFTF and the Tradefair will take place again in Vijfhuizen and Aalsmeer. It's been a while since we featured an addon on the website. That certainly doesn't mean we're sitting still! Our web development department is busy developing FloriShop on a daily basis. A large part of our customer base uses this webshop to sell to customers all over the world. More and more smart addons are being developed and we use the latest techniques to translate customer wishes into a clear and reliable e-commerce environment.
You may have already had a demo from one of our colleagues or received information before: the FloriShop Dashboard. Research shows that organizations that use a dashboard make better decisions and therefore achieve better results. Florisoft developed the FloriShop Dashboard: this dashboard allows you to easily apply dashboard components in the CMS.

Perhaps you already read it in the press release shared by Floriday earlier today: the end date of March 31 has been postponed for 100% Digital. The implementation requires a new timeline.
It has been a while since we gave an update on Floriday. Floriday is still in full development with several improvements to the existing features, and new features are being added. Read more about the progress here.
Our web development department developed new screens in the CMS that allow administrators to manage pages and categories in FloriShop. We also introduce a brand new functionality in the form of CMS Links.

Recently Florisoft has been working on the development of a brand new photo booth project that has now been taken into use at Royal Flora Holland. At the end of September the project went live and the feedback is positive! Florisoft is now able to photograph large tow carts in a (very) short time.

For FloriShop they recently designed a new stock filter interface option with filter cards and dropdowns.
Webshop users focus on the product they are logging in for as quickly as possible. To make it even easier for the user, this new way of displaying your filters is now integrated in FloriShop. The filters are fast, user-friendly and clear. This way you can shop optimally efficiently: for example, you can skip, undo or combine choices.
New design CMS!
Our webdevelopment department has applied a new design to our CMS; even more beautiful than it already was! The new design is based on the style of our website.
FloriShop addon Notification Centre
With the new FloriShop addon * Pop-up, Chat & Notification Center * you have an important tool to communicate quickly and directly with customers. Every partnership we start with our customers is unique, and they are all valuable to us. There are projects that we are extra proud of. Because a nice collaboration has been created, a good interaction between Florisoft and the customer was established, or because we delivered thoughtful custom work. One such collaboration that we are particularly proud of is the one with Gebr. Noort Flowerexport.

For a while, we have been looking for a way to improve the accessibility of the support department. From week 20 changes will take place by contacting Florisoft by telephone.

SEO integration FloriShop
Good news! The FloriShop addon CMS is now expanded with SEO sitemapping functionality.
SEO stands for ‘Search Enigine Optimization’ and helps you with search engine optimization. It is a collection of techniques aimed at improving your website or webshop for findability in search engines such as Google.
Last week the RIVM announced further precautionary actions because of the outbreak of the Corona virus. Because of this, Florisoft has decided to take steps to prevend spreading of the virus. We will not make live appointments with customers and other relations until April 6th.

Gerbera grower Holstein Flowers from de Lier recently launched a FloriShop App in collaboration with Florisoft. With the app, customers always and everywhere have an up-to-date overview of the gerbera range.

Since 2019 we have completely switched to PostgreSQL. PostgreSQL is an Enterprise level database system and has been voted the best database system by developers worldwide. Due to the large active community, PostgreSQL will have a rapid development, which will keep Florisoft fast and stable.
Florisoft is expanding
With effect from 1 January 2020, we are expanding and, in addition to our current location at Rijnsburgerweg 108, we will also be working in the office building at number 106.
Because we are always evolving and to further optimize our growth, we choose for more space and more options. The choice to also move into the former premises of JAN Accountancy was a logical step and a unique opportunity; with more and more employees, we are growing from the current building.
