With the introduction of the Orderpicking App, Florisoft makes the pick order process simpler and more reliable. The app supports employees in efficiently processing pick orders, reduces the number of errors, and makes every action within the process transparent through scanning and track & trace.
Efficient picking without product knowledge
Thanks to its visual and system-driven workflow, the Orderpicking App guides employees step by step through the pick order process. The app clearly shows which product must be picked and where, including an image, customer information, product code, quantities, and required validation. As a result, product knowledge or years of experience are no longer necessary, allowing new employees to start working efficiently right away.
Working with the App
Smart routes and clear instructions
From the desktop pick order screen, the pick assignment is sent directly to the employee’s handheld device. When the app is opened, the assignment is immediately visible and the sequence has already been determined based on preconfigured optimal walking routes. These routes take into account not only the most efficient path through the warehouse but also the configured location structure. The app guides the employee in a logical order along the correct locations, preventing unnecessary back-and-forth movement and speeding up the picking process.
Track & Trace
All actions and scans are automatically recorded, giving you full insight into who picked the product, when it was picked, and whether it was correct. This ensures a transparent and easily manageable process.
Fewer errors through validation
During picking, the employee must scan each product (and optionally the location) within the assignment. This scan allows the app to validate whether the correct item has been picked. As a result, the margin for incorrectly picked products is significantly reduced and the reliability of the process increases.
Registering exceptions
If exceptions occur during picking, such as missing products, quality issues, or location discrepancies, they can be recorded immediately via the integrated Exception Registration App. This allows the employee to continue working without interrupting their workflow, while the floor manager can arrange an appropriate solution.
